Shirt Spotlight: Blue and Brown Starks Twill

The Blue and Brown Starks Twill was an instant favorite when we first introduced it as part of our Short Run Shirting last year. We have since added it to our Core Collection of shirting and after several months of demand, we’re happy to have The Blue and Brown Starks fully restocked.

Navy and brown is a classic color pairing that unsurprisingly works as well for shirting fabric as it does for coordinating navy slacks and brown dress shoes. We constructed this shirt out of incredibly soft cotton twill fabric from Thomas Mason that is also lightweight and extremely comfortable. For a strong look, consider wearing this with a navy pair of slacks or chinos to contrast the brown in the shirt. A grey blazer or suit would also pair well, and go with a darker solid color necktie if you choose to wear one.

In addition to the Blue and Brown Starks Twill, we’ve restocked several of our other favorites including the Urbana Box Check, Purple Cross Cutaway, and the Pink and Blue Starks Gingham to name a few.

If you are like me and missed the Blue and Brown Starks Twill the first and second time around, here’s to third chances. Shop the Blue and Brown Starks Twill as well as our entire Core Collection of shirting here.

  • I’m curious, you seem to like using the Ledbury Spread on casual shirts like this. Any reason besides the flexibility of dressing it up with a tie if desired? I’d expect something like this to have the Drewes Spread.

  • Hey Jovan,
For casual shirts, the spread is a little more dressed up than say a button-down collar. I admit that I do like the extra amount of collar in the Drewes compared to a spread, but we normally reserve our Drewes for shirts constructed out of a thicker fabric.
