Why Wear Twill?

Twill is one of our favorite fabrics. It makes up both casual denim shirts and some of our most luxurious formal styles. It is most easily recognized by the diagonal texture created by the weave structure. We love twill for dress shirts in particular because it is very soft and drapes well throughout the day without wrinkling as easily. It is also typically a bit thicker than a poplin or other plain weave fabrics and avoids being sheer even in white, all while being a versatile mid-weight.

In short, twill keeps you comfortable and looking your best all day long. We’ve gotten creative with some of our spring dress shirt collection, taking business twill to a new level.

The Light Blue Duval Stripe (below) mixes things up with a broken weave over each stripe. The direction of the twill changes on either side of the poplin weave stripe, with a slight sheen that lends a formal look. Available in Lavender and Light Blue.

The Blue Carrington Windowpane (below) is a classic thin windowpane on luxurious 100s double twill fabric. This super soft dress shirt has a rich handfeel and looks sophisticated without being stuffy. Available in Blue and Pink.
